The HUD and font grahpics are now displayed correctly. These where the only tilesets left that didn't look fine. The reason for this was the different format (2BPP instead of 4BPP). I still need to find the corresponding 2BPP palettes.
NOTE: There is a problem with the latest version of the editor that I uploaded recently. The program doesn't run after it is installed. I couldn't find a solution for this problem yet but I'm working on it.
Hey there, maybe I've got an idea:
AntwortenLöschenTake the NO$SNS Emulator, Play to a TextBox, and than look in the VRAM Viewer. On Tab "CGRAM" or "Palette", I expect that there is a way to look up the Hex Code for the Text Colors. Next step is to look for the hex codes in the ROM (note: I expect them to be Little Endian, so the order of the Bytes should be 02 01 04 03 06 05...). This might take about half an hour, but I guess it is the fastest way to find them.
Good idea :) The problem is that I have a black screen after pressing the button in the title screen.. I tried it with the US, german and japanese rom in the editor version 1.4 and 1.5 but the result stayed the same everytime :(
AntwortenLöschenIf I find the time, I'll pull a few palettes for you. Well, so there will be a Sympathy for the manafreak #8 pretty soon, I guess. ;) The hardest part will be to find another The Smiths song title for the stupid pun in the article name...
AntwortenLöschenTried to do it, but IoG doesn't run properly on my NO$SNS. Contacted nocash, hope he can fix that. Hang on...
AntwortenLöschenYes I had the same problem :(
AntwortenLöschenBut nevertheless I made huge steps with the editor within the last few days :)
I allocated all of the maps with the help of the data sets. And it seems that they used the known LZSS decompression for at least the map arrangement data. I will probably make a big blog post here on friday ;)
